With the sudden rapid growth of Work from Home, Remote Education, and Telemedicine, demand for scarce IPv4 addresses has exploded, but the dwindling unowned addresses are often very expensive and frequently polluted as they were once used by spammers or other blacklisted entities. And because there are so many IPv4-only speaking CPE and websites, a wholesale move to IPv6 is not yet practical.

A white box CGNAT router is an inexpensive way to share IPv4 addresses a Broadband Service Provider already has. Based upon well-known Network Address Translation (NAT) techniques, Lanner partners with netElastic to build a virtual CGNAT router that amplifies your available network address space, provides critical logging capabilities and has all the gateway services that differentiate CGNAT from vanilla NAT.

Based on netElastic’s vRouter technology, Lanner NCA-5520 can support up to 4 million sessions in a single appliance instance or Virtual Machine.
